麻煩的英文怎麼說？

上課這麼久發現台灣的愛用字有兩個，

一個是方便另一個是麻煩，

所以怎麼表達最到位呢？

1. Hassle (n)

A problem caused by pressure of time, money, energy or inconvenience. 因為時間、花費、經歷或不方便帶來的問題。

• Paperwork is such a hassle and very time-consuming. 繁文縟節真麻煩，又耗時間。

• We decided to celebrate Christmas early to avoid the hassle of holiday crowd and traffic. 我們決定提早慶祝聖誕節，以避開過節的人潮交通的麻煩。

2. Finicky (adj)

Something or someone that requires particular work, difficult to please. 難以取悅或完成、需要特別的工作的人事物。偏進階的單字。

• She is very finicky when it comes to food. 對於食物這方面她相當的麻煩。

• The equipment is very finicky to operate so we need licensed technicians. 這設備操作起來相當麻煩，所以我們需要有證照的技師。

• US healthcare system is finicky to navigate and often poses problems to new immigrants. 美國的醫療保健系統使用起來很麻煩，常常為新移民者帶來問題。（This is a true story 🙃…）

字尾聽起來一樣，所以可以跟 picky 挑惕的 (adj) 做聯想！e.g. He is a picky eater. He is a finicky person.

🔥常見度最高的用法歸他莫屬啦！It takes too much work 字面上就是它花太說時間或精力。也可以說 It is too much work.

4. Troublesome (adj) 不行嗎？

語意當然是沒錯的，但是相對以上三個用法，在我經驗來看 troublesome (adj) 比較少聽到，🔥 trouble (n/v) 本身反而常用喔！

• 形容詞：It is a troublesome situation. 麻煩的狀況。

• 動詞：Can I trouble you with something? -[Sure.] Could you pass me the magazine over there? 可以麻煩你一件事嗎？當然。可以麻煩把那本雜誌遞給我嗎？

• 動詞：Why don’t I just give you a ride? -[It’s alright. I don’t want to trouble you.] 那我載你吧？沒關係，我不想麻煩你。
