Week 2 | 刷毛比較 | Dense vs. Fluffy
What is a kabuki brush?
Normally, a kabuki has a very short handle, round shape, dense or fluffy hairs (or you can use the word bristles). It is excellent for buffing. Fun fact, this kind of brush originally came from Japanese theater makeup!
通常Kabuki的把柄很短，形狀圓、刷毛濃密且蓬鬆，非常適合畫大圈拋光這個動作，有趣的是，這種刷子最初來自日本戲劇妝（歌技）！

dense (adj) 厚實的
buff (v) 拋光
bristles (n) 刷毛

Week 3 | 刷頭 | Rounded, Pointed, Angled
圓 Rounded (adj): A rounded shape is like a bubble, great for blending.
尖 Pointy (adj): When the tip of a brush comes to a point, you can use the word “pointy” to describe it.
斜 Slanted/Angled (adj): Sigma F40 is a popular angled brush. Many people use it for contouring（陰影修容）.
平 Flat (adj): Flat brushes have a completely even top, usually designed for the face.

Week 4 | 刷具清洗 | Natural vs. Synthetic bristles
對刷具不講究的人不用投資在天然刷，因為他們很難照顧... Hear me out!
天然毛的難處 Natural bristles
一開始短暫落毛（shedding）算正常
長期太多水進入刷炳（ferrule）可能導致黏著劑鬆弛而掉毛
有些毛容易爆開，可能需要潤髮（conditioning）或用套子固定形狀（shaping）
如何清洗 How do I wash them?
不能太常水洗，平時保養可以用毛巾或細纖維布（microfiber cloth）乾拭。天然和人工毛我都用 Dr. Bronner’s肥皂清洗，人工毛如果顏料太多、太深我會用洗碗精。用冷水否則長時間會融解刷毛的黏著劑，同道裡也避免浸泡刷子。用手掌或用矽膠墊都可以，清洗後稍微甩乾後用乾淨毛巾輕拭，靠桌邊晾乾。天然毛較慢乾，最好隔夜晾乾後再使用。
Pro Tip：別將還沒乾的刷子像鉛筆一樣倒過來放在杯裡晾，原因是.... You got it. Avoid getting water into the ferrule. 如果希望長久使用刷具還是要稍微講究一點。
