頭髮的不同單字 | Talk Beauty to Me

This past month in our group chat, we talked about hair. Let’s do a little roundup today. 這個八月巴奈沒有固定特定主題，但是有很多保養小想法會不定期在群組更新。今天先來複習七月討論的內容吧！

Week 1 | 直捲髮的說法
■ straight hair 直髮
■ bendy hair 有點彎曲（偏自然）
■ wavy hair 波浪捲
■ curly hair 捲髮
■ coily hair (very curly) 如泡麵的捲髮
■ kinky hair 比泡麵更捲，如Z字型 zig-zag
那「自然捲」呢？
If your hair is mostly straight, but some parts are a little different, like the back of your head, you can simply say,
“This part of my hair has some natural bends/curls (n).” 這部分的頭髮有點彎曲
“The texture *here* is naturally different”. 這邊頭髮髮質不一樣
My roots are a little kinky. （我的髮根想Z字型一樣捲）
文化面：別碰黑人的頭髮？
有一個文化梗是不常看過黑人捲髮的人，常常第一次看到都會有想摸摸看的衝動，所以很多黑人會對這一點很強烈反感😅，有時候可能會在電影或真實生活中遇到。
“I really like your curls.” “You rock that look very well.” 以我個人經驗看來，簡單一句讚美帶過就好！
Week 2 | 形容頭髮質地
Textures 質地
■ smooth 順, sleek 滑, coarse 粗糙, kinky 糾纏的像Z字型
■ thick 粗, thin/fine 細
■ dry 乾燥, oily 油, damaged 損壞, brittle 易斷
■ frizzy 毛躁, static 靜電
Volume 髮量
■ thick 厚, thin 薄, voluminous 豐盈的
■ thinning 落髮中（講 balding 禿頭中就太絕了）
★ thick、thin可以用來形容每根頭髮的質地或是整體髮量！
Scalp 頭皮
■ scalp (n) 是頭皮。Some people say scalp is like the extension of your face! You could have dry/oily/flakey scalp. Flakey means that you probably have dandruff. 頭皮可能是乾性/油性/脫皮，脫皮可能就是頭皮屑。所以很多去屑產品有「anti-dandruff」這個字！
I have thick and straight hair and when the weather gets humid, my hair gets frizzy. That’s why I always put my hair up. 我的頭髮又厚又直，天氣潮濕的時候頭髮會毛躁所以我常常把頭髮綁起來。
scalp tickets「割頭皮的票」？指的是黃牛票！
e.g. She got scalp tickets to Taylor Swift’s concert and it cost over $2000 dollars!
Week 3 | 2023 今夏髮型
這周看了Vogue的文章我跟大家分享三個，一個大重點就是：古～
■ 90s Volume 九零年代的蓬鬆髮
Do you remember the word, volume, from last week? Yes, some people are going back to this retro 復古 look. The bigger, the better.
■ Shaggy mullet 強勢回歸 — 毛茸茸的狼尾頭
這個太好笑了，狼尾在美國俗話裡還會稱作「lettuce」，叫生菜因為很有畫面感😆，尤其是職業棒球選手最多這種Look。八零年代的David Bowie就是這個頭的象徵。參考
■ Blunt bob 不死包柏頭
blunt 形容詞有很直率了當，甚至過度直白的意思，形容在頭髮有平剪、很平的意思，也可以用在形容刀鋒不銳利的時候。Blunt bob is my personal favorite. Some people also like “lob”, a “long bob”. 比包柏頭在稍微長一點的髮型。
Week 4 | 影片聽力
“I have very fine, very thin “highlighted” hair. So we’re gonna go over products that I used to kind of help remedy some damage; help give me a little bit of body and volume.”
谷歌翻譯：「我有非常細、非常薄的『突出』頭髮。 所以我們要回顧一下我用來幫助修復一些損害的產品； 幫助我增加一點身體和體積。」這裡的「突出頭髮」翻譯很突出因為完全不對🤣 Highlight 確實有突出、顯示、強調的意思，但這裡用在頭髮指的是挑染喔！
