不同種的「參加」
join, attend, go to, participate?
又要來比較單字啦！
雖然說是比較單字，但真正重要的點在於慣用字詞（collocations），
哪個動詞常跟哪個名詞一起使用？約定俗成的說法是什麼？哪種狀況下？
Join 指成為團體的一員
慣用法：join a team, group, organization, conversation, discussion, debate …

其他用法：將實體的東西結合、黏合在一起

Participate (in something) 主動積極的貢獻
有實際的行動和貢獻才是 participate。你會發現口語中這字其實時常後面不加受詞（in something），所以找慣用詞 collocations 並不好找。常跟副詞（adv）共存。

Attend 出席
答案來啦！身為賓客出席說 attend 就沒錯了，像是去（go to）和出現（show up）類似的概念，不需要任何互動。
