Describing emotions isn’t easy.
過去兩個月跟家人害小朋友一起旅行有機會花一些時間跟自己的思緒溝通。自2020開始自由工作以來,我就很久沒有好好關機充電,做事綁手綁腳,總是掛著一個「what if」(如果那樣怎麼辦)的危機心態,對未來的遠景的構圖不但沒好處,更危害心理健康。你們會不會有時也陷入這種反芻思想深淵呢?
不管是震驚還是驚訝,當你啞口無言可以說 lost for words
e.g. When I was presented with the promotion1, I was lost for words.
e.g. He was lost for words when he found out that his bank account was hacked2.
當你分身乏術,電池全乾時是 spread thin
e.g. To support myself with a 25k salary, I have to take on a second job as an Uber driver. I can’t help but3 feel spread thin sometimes.
身心困惑沒有頭緒時是 discombobulated
e.g. When I first joined the company, I was so lost and discombobulated. Then I met a good coworker who really clicked4 with me.
You are not alone. It is okay to feel this way. Help is one the way if you let it.
